My Pregnancy

Lets just start off with YUCK! My pregnancy wasn't that pleasant at all....it was just down right horrible. Any protein would have me running outside, to the closest bathroom, empty cooking pot, just anything that would hold what was coming up. I threw-up everyday of my pregnancy even with the Dr giving me prescription for the nausea.

I was told usually the nausea will go away after the first trimester.....well I couldn't wait for that day to come. Well it came and went and still I was upchucking everything I ate. I finally came to terms with it and didn't fight it any longer. I would feel the feeling coming and I would just walk outside to my little designated spot and just waited.

My Dr appts were pretty routine and nothing special. I went in and they took my weight, blood pressure, and all that stuff....nothing like I thought it would be with every appt a memorable experience.

My hubby went to almost every appt and the first one he went to was to find out the sex of the baby......a very memorable moment for everyone. Well this one was....our little baby just kept flipping and turning and doing everything he could to not avoid showing off his parts.....needless to say hubby was a bit disappointed but still excited to see his creation. We went back in 4 weeks and sadly that appt my hard working hubby couldn't take off that day. I didn't want to go alone so I asked my mother to come with me. There we saw it....a baby boy!
Every appt my little baby was sounding great, gaining weight, and I was having a healthy normal pregnancy (besides the constant throwing up). So as my pregnancy winded down and were were 4 weeks from my due date I found out that my Dr was going on vacation and wouldn't be back until a week after my due date.....gggggreat......well he had me meet the dr that would be taking over my pregnancy and the birth of my baby and she was very nice and I felt comfortable with proceeding with her as our caretaker.

So the week of my due date I had shown no sign of labor nor any signs it was coming soon. So I went over my due date and at my next appt she said "Well I see no reason to keep you pregnant any longer" and we scheduled me an induction for 2 days later. I was relieved to say the least.....the constant throwing up and the back aches had made me miserable and a bit unpleasant to be around.

I went in on Sunday at 9pm.

Our Little Surprise.

My pregnancy was a total surprise as my husband and I were planning on to wait to have a baby till I finished school. I have always been plagued with an unpredictable cycle and was finally diagnosed with Polycysitc Ovarian Syndrome (PCOS) in 2008 and was prescribed birth control. That news really didn't hit me because I had real no idea what it was so I didn't know what kind of questions to ask my dr. So as I did my own research on this 'thing' I was diagnosed with my heart sank. As my eyes ran across the word 'infertility' I felt as though someone ran a knife into the center of my heart. I just sat there and thought "A family is all I want". Fast forward though a bought of depression and then drowning myself in school and busy work I came to term with my PCOS. Here comes the year 2010.

So August of 2010 my brother in laws house brunt down and as a thank you to our local volunteer fire department for coming to the rescue and putting out the fire I baked them 3 dozen cookies and brought them to their next meeting. So my husband, brother in law, and I walk in carrying these cookies and were asked to stay in and listen to the meeting and afterwards give them some feedback and visit for a while. By the end of the meeting we all three had applications to join them in brother/sisterhood. We filled out the applications and at the next business meeting we were voted in! I am sure you are wondering what the heck does the FD have to do with your pregnancy? Give me a min.....

So as part of the FD they send you to cool trainings to better your skills....so as most people out here think we are just a bunch of rednecks throwing water on a fire is a total misconception....we have training. So the very first training we went to was a vehicle extrication class where we had to travel and stay since the training was a 3 day ordeal. Well my husband and I shared a room and my BIL shared a room with another FD member. Well since my BIL house had burnt down he was living with my husband and I; so as you can imagine my hubby and I don't have a lot of alone time. So we took advantage of it so you can say.

I was taking my birth control(BC) regularly because as my research told me, was that it would help you have a better chance of conceiving once you came off of it. And well since my husband and I had a plan I was religiously taking them. So as you might know with BC your period comes just like clock work or at least mine did. So when it didn't come I just thought the worst....."What could be wrong with me now".....Well 10 days late I thought what the hell let me take a pregnancy test.

So I didn't want my husband to know what was running through my mind since we had a plan and all.....so I had my friend buy the test for me and bring it over after hubby fell asleep. BAM! The test line came up before the control line and twice as dark!
I for sure thought 'nuh uh'!. Well low and behold there we were.....out of the plan we had sought out. God sure does have a funny way of saying....."Kids....I'm in control and this is what is in my my plan"

Life in college

Well lets start off with saying that community college is the route I chose. So to say the least life hasn't changed much. No I've never slept in a dorm or joined a paternity or attended wild college parties; but I do get the luxury of sleeping in my bed and living in my home. On the other hand that causes for more distractions but I seem to do okay balancing the two.

My career is sign language interpreting. First though I have to take and pass the vocabulary part of my certification and then move towards taking my performance exam. After I get mt certification I plan to work in the school systems. I love working with children which is why I am choosing that route.

My first day to blogg....

Well I started this blog because I am in search of a draft horse stallion to breed to my Percheron mare. So let me go on and tell you about my animals since they are the reason I started this....I have 4 horses and 4 dogs. My horses are Midnight my 17 year old Percheron mare that is the best horse I have ever owned; she rides and drives and she was a gift to me.Photobucket

I have a 4 year old grade QH mare Pearl that is currently lame due to a leg injury she occurred some how; I hate leg wounds. Pearl I got in poor shape and surprisingly pregnant with my 2 year old filly Jorie. Pearl had alot of trust issues but in the almost 3 years I have owned her she has come around and gives the greatest hugs...they are especially good when I am having a bad day.

Here was Pearl when I got her

Here she is a year later

Jorie my 2 year old curious trouble maker. Jorie was born on good friday of 07 which was April 6, 2007 which turned out to be a great friday since when Pearl foaled Jorie she was only 2 years old....I was afraid I was going to lose both of them.

Last of the horses is Tucker my yearling gelding which also is Pearls foal...long story but she jumped many fences to breed to a wonderful stallion that has since sadly passed away. Tucker is my love bucket. He gives me kisses and just always has to be close to you....I love him and he is truly my baby.

As for my dogs....There is Missy my 6 year old boxer she is registered with the AKC. My husband and I got her when she was 3 years old...her previous owners were in the military and just go orders to go to Hawaii and couldn't take her with them so they gave her to us.

Next is Bear; he is 6 year old also and was given to my husband as a payment that his previous owed us. We went to go collect payment but seen bear and decided we would take him instead because of the condition he was is....

Then there is Abby....my Australian Shepherd....she was given to me also from a friend. She was born early December 08. She is too smart for her own good sometimes I think. She is very protective of me and herds a stranger away till I tell her that it is okay....I love her so much....

and last but not least is Tony....he is SO cute and loves to run around like a spazz...LOL....Bear and Abby found him outside taking cover from the rain and cold wind from our first real cold front...I think someone dumped the poor thing off :( my vet says that he was only about 2 months old and a dachshund maltese mix of some sort....he is hypoallergenic so he is good for my hubby's allergies....look at that face....who could dump this little thing off?
